The Keuka College Symphonic Band will present its fall concert Sunday, Nov. 13.
Free and open to the public, the concert begins at 4 p.m. in Norton Chapel and features the talents of students and members of the Penn Yan Area Community Band.
Under the direction of Jeff Stempien, the band will perform music from around the world. Selections include A Nutcracker Spectacular, by Tchaikovsky; A Canadian Brass Christmas, arranged by Luther Henderson and adapted by Howard Cable; The Best of Queen, arranged by Paul Murtha; Amparito Roca, by Jamie Texidor and arranged by Aubrey Winter; Korean Folk Rhapsody, arranged by James Curnow; The Star Spangled Banner, which blends the standard John Williams version with the Navy arrangement; Armed Forces Salute, arranged by Bob Lowden, English Folk Song Suite, by Ralph Vaughan Williams; and Arioso, by James Barnes, inspired by Naoya Takizawa and Haruko Nakayama.
