Ohio Accident Claims Life of Student

Desiree Marsh, a junior occupational science major from DeRuyter (Madison County) was killed in an automobile accident Saturday on the Ohio Turnpike.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and extend our heartfelt sympathy to Desiree’s family and friends,” said College President Joseph G. Burke.

Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 2 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1659 Cortland St. in DeRuyter (315-852-3393). The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at United Church of DeRuyter, 1632 Cortland St.

The College has established  a memorial fund to assist with funeral costs.  Checks should be made payable to Keuka College; write “For Desiree Marsh” on the memo line. Checks may be dropped off in the Center for Spiritual Life office in Dahlstrom Student Center or sent to: The Center for Spiritual Life, Dahlstrom Student Center, Keuka College, 141 Central Ave., Keuka Park, N.Y., 14478.

    Desiree had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up any room. She will be surely missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace little angel!
